Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

On all pages there are no page regions or ARIA landmarks defined which help some users to navigate the page content. This does not meet WCAG 1.3.1 Info and Relationships and 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks.
On the "Your choice of service" page, a table header intentionally contains no text. This does not meet WCAG 1.3.1 Info and Relationships.
On the "What passport sizes are there?" section, the field allowing selection of a 34 page or 50 page passport does not have a corresponding label. The field is within a table column with a table header of "Passport Size". This does not meet WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content, 1.3.1 Info and Relationships, 2.4.6 Headings and Labels, and 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions.
On the "Payment for Passport Customer Service Centre appointment" page a secondary heading contains no content. The heading is redundant but may impact users who navigate by heading elements. This does not meet WCAG 1.3.1 Info and Relationships, 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks, and 2.4.6 Headings and Labels.
On the "Cancel your appointment" page a heading contains no content. A subsequent heading contains the appropriate page heading of "Cancel your appointment". This may impact users who navigate by heading elements. This does not meet WCAG 1.3.1 Info and Relationships, 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks and 2.4.6 Headings and Labels.
